Student Organizations

APICS is a global leader and premier source of the body of knowledge in operations management. For more than 50 years, members have relied on APICS for its educational programs, internationally recognized certifications, comprehensive resources, and worldwide network of accomplished industry professionals.
Student members of APICS play an important role as future leaders in the operations management profession and the association. As a student member, APICS provides you with the industry publications, tools, resources, and connections that can enhance your knowledge and prepare you for career success.
Your UTD Student Chapter of APICS provides members with opportunities to network with local industry professionals through on-campus speakers, off-campus facility tours and monthly North Texas APICS dinner meetings. In addition, students participate in events such as our annual Undergraduate Internship Poster Competition, Undergraduate and Grade Simulation Competition, and Doctoral Plossl Dissertation Competition. Other benefits include free preparation/review classes for the Certified Professional in Inventory Management examinations.
APICS student membership is $25 and criteria are as follows.
- Enrolled in six credit hours or more
- Not employed full time.
