Positioning Women for Corporate BoardsThe University of Texas at Dallas, The School of Management

Conference April 28–30, 2008

Only 12% of corporate board positions in the U.S. are currently held by women. Board selection committees nationwide find that seeking qualified women to fill key positions on boards of directors can be a difficult task. Outstanding women candidates are out there. However, women leaders need to improve their visibility and, often their strategies and skills, to become successful board candidates.

“Positioning Women for Corporate Boards,” a three day residential program, combines the experiences of board members and selection committee chairmen with world class faculty from UT Dallas, The Leadership Center at UTD and the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance (IECG). The program is designed to help women leaders learn how to get noticed by corporate board selection committees and confidently secure board positions.
