On Campus - Graduate Degree Program

UTD's School of Management is one of the few institutions worldwide with a masters of science degree with emphasis in project management.. The on campus program is unique in that classes are scheduled Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 8 hours per day, once a month which better accommodates work and travel schedules of working professionals.

Three students on study tour in FranceThe first phase of the program, called the Certificate Program, is taught as an integrated body of topics rather than a series of courses. Students are formed into a cohort class and assigned to a team within the class. The curriculum provides comprehensive training in project and program management, combining technical aspects and critical human skills. Students are required to integrate work projects with classroom learning. Certificates are earned in 12 months, at which time students are prepared to take the Project Management Institute's PMP certification exam.

After completing the Certificate Program, students may elect to continue on for either the Master of Science in Management and Administrative Sciences or the Master of Business Administration degree. These courses are taught independently on a course-by-course basis with students continuing in a cohort class format. Both degree options include a two week international study tour to Europe.

UTD begins a new on campus Certificate Program in September each year.
