Sue Freedman, Ph.D., is the president and founder of Knowledge Work Associates, a consulting firm specializing in the design and management of technology based organizations. Sue works with technology leaders who recognize the link between new ideas, new products, and new ways of managing people and performance. She has helped a host of organizations, including Hitachi Data Systems, the 7-11 Corporation, America Credit Corporation, AMR Services, American Airlines and Lockheed Martin, implement the leadership strategies and organizational support systems that enable them to adapt to a changing world.
Sue is co-author of Beyond Teams: Building the Collaboration Organization (Jossey-Bass, 2003). She spent 12 years with Texas Instruments, serving as Manager of Organizational Effectiveness both for the Defense Group and at the corporate level. She is treasurer of the Dallas-Fort Worth Product Development Management Association and an active member of the University of North Texas' Virtual Collaboration Research Group. Sue is also professor at the University of Texas at Dallas, teaching in both the Executive Education Project Management Program faculty and MBA program.
Lothar Katz, M.S., is president of Leadership Crossroads, a consulting firm specializing in International and Cross-Cultural Management. Its services help clients maximize their international business success and include Global Business Coaching, Project Management Assistance, Outsourcing Preparation, Cross-Cultural Negotiation Training and Assistance, and more.
He is a former Vice President and General Manager with Texas Instruments. During his 18-year corporate career, Lothar managed large distributed product development organizations across the U.S., Germany, India, China, Japan, and Australia. He has a wealth of experience in achieving productive cooperation across cultures and driving business success on a global scale. His extensive interactions with employees, customers, outsourcing partners, and third parties in more than 25 countries around the world included many parts of Asia. Originally from Germany, he has lived and worked both in the United States and in Europe.
