Master of Science, Management & Administrative Sciences, Concentration in Healthcare Management
Healthcare is the U.S.’s second largest employer and the largest employer in North Texas. The concentration in Healthcare Management prepares students for management careers in this dynamic and rapidly growing industry, including hospitals and health systems, insurers and managed care organizations, physician group practices, pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms, government agencies and healthcare consulting organizations.
Healthcare Management differs from other concentrations by blending specific coursework and professional development opportunities. An interdisciplinary faculty based in the School of Management, together with a select group of experienced industry executives, will help prepare students to respond to the many critical issues facing the healthcare industry.
The degree is obtained by completing the program course requirements of 36 credit hours, including 10 hours of business core and a minimum of 15 hours in healthcare electives.
