Executive MBA Structure
and Benefits

The Executive MBA program at UT Dallas is an elite program designed to help transform the careers and professional effectiveness of executives and senior professionals who work full time.

Structure

  • A 21-month program with a new class beginning each August.

  • Students participate in a four-day Executive Workshop at the beginning of the first year. These are conducted by the Centers of Excellence at the School of Management. This workshop is conducted by The Leadership Center at UT Dallas, a Center of Excellence in the School of Management.

  • Classes meet three days each month on the first and third weekends: On the first class weekend, students meet all day Friday and Saturday; on the second class weekend, students meet all day, Saturday only.

  • Classes run 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (lunch served).

  • A Student-Determined Activity supervised by a faculty mentor permits students to develop deep knowledge and skill in a business area of their choice.

  • The Enterprise Transformation Project has student groups work with a local company to help the company solve a major business problem. This is done in the second year as an integrative experience and skill-building opportunity.

  • Students take two international study tours to Mexico and to either Europe, Asia or Latin America. Students receive a Certificate of International Residency from the Grenoble GSM.
