In addition to serving as a repository for research articles written by renowned international business faculty, the Center for Global Business is positioned to work with both the academic and executive education activities of The UT Dallas School of Management. The center organizes conferences and seminars for business leaders and government officials on topics related to international trade. In addition it is available to help companies in our region participate in international trade and business development missions. The Role of the Center for Global Business

Downtown Dallas

If the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex were a nation, its gross domestic product would rank 21st in the world. In 2005, DFW's GDP reached $290 billion, commanding one-third of Texas' GDP. Total world trade in DFW reached $50 billion in 2005, a 67% increase since 2001. Situated at the crossroads of NAFTA traffic, global business in DFW will increase by leaps and bounds in the years to come. This leaves no doubt that DFW deserves the advantages offered by a world-class center of excellence in global business.

The Center for Global Business aspires to play this role. We draw on the UT Dallas School of Management's strong commitment to global business, as evidenced by programs at both the graduate and executive levels. No other school in Texas and few in the nation have this kind of commitment toward global business. We also leverage the expertise of our award-winning faculty, work to strengthen our excellent ties with the corporate community, and integrate global business resources not only at UT Dallas but also at the regional and state levels.

Solid Foundation

The UT Dallas Center for Global Business is built on a solid foundation that includes a faculty that has been widely recognized with major research awards. Our faculty are actively publishing in and editing top academic journals, as well as authoring leading international management textbooks.
