Executive MBA Council

The UTD EMBA Program is a member of the EMBA Council. Membership in the Executive MBA Council is open to educational institutions offering or involved with Executive MBA Programs. Such programs offer a combination of the following characteristics: a general management education for experienced managers and professionals who may be sponsored financially and through release time by their employing organizations, have several years of significant (post baccalaureate) career experience, and continue to work full time while enrolled. Such programs often include a cohort class structure and offer a lock-step, planned curriculum in a residence setting.

Tuition and Financial Aid

The Executive MBA Program offers you tremendous benefits in terms of enhanced job effectiveness, greater income potential, and career advancement. Plus, the program is an outstanding value! Our tuition is significantly less than equivalent programs in the Metroplex, and we offer you more!

The total cost of the EMBA program for the class starting in August 2008 is $67,500. This amount is subject to change at any time prior to the start date of the class. It is an all-inclusive cost and covers:

Tuition
Your own executive coach
Books
Parking permits
Opening retreat
The international trip (except incidentals)
Meals on class days
Executive Workshops

The cost is paid in five equal installments with one installment due prior to the start of each semester. The due dates are:

Semester 1: August 15
Semester 2: December 15
Semester 3: April 15
Semester 4: August 15
Semester 5: December 15

Financial Aid

Financial aid in the form of loans is available to EMBA students. Interested applicants should review the information on the UTD Financial Aid Office website: financial-aid.utdallas.edu. Financial aid counselors are available to work with applicants. Paula Baxter in our Executive Education Center can guide you in the application process. She can be reached at 972-883-4114.

The most popular student loan is the Federal Stafford Loan which has a maximum annual loan amount of $18,500; thus, over two years you can borrow $37,000. Interest rates and repayment terms are very generous on Stafford Loans, and up to $8,500 of these loans may be subsidized at a zero-percent interest rate if financial need is established.

Some EMBA students may want to consider private alternative loans. These loans are provided through a lending institution that is not part of the federal government. Information on these alternative loans may be obtained from the UTD Financial Aid Office and from Paula Baxter.
