Positioning Women for Corporate Boards is a three-day residential program featuring speakers and experts who will share their experiences and insights on leadership.

Criteria for Participation

Positioning Women for Corporate Boards requires participants to have achieved benchmarks in either corporate settings or in not-for-profit operations. This ensures those taking part offer rich and diverse viewpoints and experiences to other participants. Thus, participants should:

  • Be responsible for a major enterprise or major function of an organization, profit or non-profit
  • Be able to demonstrate a current position in senior leadership
  • Be able to demonstrate a current position of leadership in an entrepreneurial organization
  • Demonstrate the experience and qualities public boards of directors seek in the director screening process

Cost

The cost of the Positioning Women for Corporate Boards executive seminar is $3,500 and includes program materials, lodging for Monday and Tuesday nights and meals. Leadership Texas Alumnae Association dues-paying members and Leadership America, Inc., alumni receive a $500 discount.

Transportation is provided each day between the Renaissance Hotel, where participants will stay, and The University of Texas at Dallas' campus in Richardson, Texas. The hotel, at 900 E. Lookout Drive, near the Eisemann Center in Richardson, is about one mile from the UT Dallas campus. Seminars will will be held in the School of Management's Executive Education Center at UT Dallas.
