Topic:  "Procurement Comes of Age"

Presenter's Bio: Mr. Sawchuk has over 15 years of experience in supply management, working directly with Fortune 500 and midsized firms around the globe and in a variety of industries to improve all aspects of procurement, including process redesign, technology enablement, operations strategy planning, organizational change and strategic sourcing. Mr. Sawchuk is a regular contributor to business publications, a frequent presenter at industry events, and co-author of ePurchasingPlus.
He has been recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine as one of its "Pros to Know." Mr. Sawchuk's background includes engineering and operation roles with both United Technologies and IBM.

Overview: Chris Sawchuk from global strategic advisory firm, The Hackett Group, will review the value proposition evolution currently underway in procurement that is providing competitive advantage externally and service excellence internally.  Mr. Sawchuk will provide insights into Hackett's new Procurement Capability Model to help attendees understand the capabilities and practices needed to deliver on the promise of broader value.

Topic: "Oracle Procurement Road Map"

Presenter's Bio: Wes Arnold is a Senior Sales Consultant with Oracle Corporation based out of the Dallas, Texas field office.  Mr. Arnold has more than 19 years of supply chain industry and technology consulting experience in a variety of industries.  His primary emphasis has been in the areas of industrial manufacturing and consumer packaged goods.  As a Sales Consultant for Oracle, he represents the Oracle Supply Chain Applications during pre-sales activities and serves as a liaison to product management regarding industry requirements.  Prior to joining Oracle, he was an operations director for a process manufacturing company.

Presenter's Bio: Saeed is a business and information technology advisor with a PhD in Industrial Engineering and over 17 years of experience with Fortune 500 companies.  Saeed's experience includes Coaching and Strategy; Opportunity Assessment and Solution Value Analysis; and global implementations of advanced ERP, SCM, HCM, CRM, and EAM Solutions in over 100 engagements.

Saeed is currently V.P. of Global Enterprise Solutions with Dibon Solutions, with past positions as Director Business Solutions and Head COE MFG and Supply Chain Solutions with Zensar Technologies, Director of Logistics and Distribution Operations with Alcoa, National Oracle Associate Practice Director with Rapidigm Inc., Senior Director Oracle Applications with Accor N.A., Senior Management Scientist with Alcoa Technical Center, Managing Director with Enterprise Solutions, Practice Manager with Oracle Corporation, and Associate Professor Penn State and University of Pittsburgh.

Overview: Sky rocketing energy and material prices are driving transformation of procurement strategies and cost reduction programs throughout the enterprise. In this presentation we will focus on a procurement solution implementation case, key processes, potential improvements and values, as well as lessons learned. We end with a brief note on systems integrators' role in the procurement solution implementation process.
