Overview

The Leadership program offered by UTD's Leadership Academy provides experienced managers with the additional leadership capabilities needed to drive their organization's future success. These 2-day workshops combine intensive, fast-paced, interactive training with proven knowledge and techniques. Participants then apply their newly acquired leadership knowledge and skills within their workplace with specific steps and guidance to assure effective results. Participants who successfully complete four modules earn UTD's Certificate of Leadership, acknowledging that they have prepared themselves for positions of greater leadership responsibility.

The Leadership Academy at UTD offers any or all of these 2-day workshops at the location and schedule convenient for any corporation, association or business group. Minimum class size is 15 and groups up to 35 can be accomodated

What is “leadership” and how is it developed?

Leaders enhance, encourage and enable high performance results in their area of influence by developing greater commitment, loyalty, buy-in, and effort within those they manage. Like other competencies, leadership can be developed, learned, and continuously improved.

UTD's program is based on the “best practices” of leadership development and is supported by many of the leading universities, corporate programs and leadership experts. Proven techniques provide clear step-by-step processes for improving individual leadership abilities. The interactive workshops provide immediate application, experimentation and feedback. Application projects implement the new capabilities within the workplace. Using the world's most-validated assessment system, leadership competencies can be measured with a high degree of accuracy, providing the means to understand current needs and build a customized development plan, and later, measure individual improvement and growth.
