Coaching Skills for Physician Leaders: The Science and Practice of Influencing Behavior

Physician leaders are challenged to help promote the professional development and effectiveness of their colleagues without the traditional levers of management control. In this class, participants will learn a number of highly effective coaching tools for fostering positive change and high performance in both individuals and teams. Participants learn:

  • how a coaching mindset can promote the growth and development of professional colleagues
  • how to assess and leverage colleagues interaction styles and ability to work in teams
  • what constitutes emotional intelligence and how to use it as a leader
  • how to assess and influence colleagues readiness for change

This course is eligible for 4 hours of graduate academic credit and up to 32 hours of Category 1 CME credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.
