Advisory Councils
The UT Dallas School of Management (SOM) Advisory Councils' members are drawn from executives, leading professionals and local entrepreneurs who focus on using their skills, company ties and other associations to benefit the school.
In addition to the SOM Advisory Council, several program areas and centers of excellence work with industry advisory groups. Two of these groups with the broadest bases are the Executive Education Advisory Council and the Accounting and Information Management Advisory Council.
SOM Advisory Council
The School of Management enjoys great support and counsel from the business community through its advisory councils. Members of the councils continually interact with the faculty and provide essential feedback to the various programs within the school.

Executive Education Advisory Council
Many members of the Executive Education Advisory Council are executives who are alumni of the school's executive programs, while several other members are from companies that have participated in the school's custom-designed executive education programs. The goal of the Executive Education Advisory Council is to provide meaningful, as well as measurable, assistance to program directors and the School of Management at large.
